Seriously?!

A while ago, the clothes store known as Peacocks went into adminstration. I was gutted because it was one of my favourite clothes stores. Now, I was given a £10 gift voucher for Peacocks at Christmas and before it shut for good, I decided to use it.

Unfortunately, they weren't taking gift vouchers anymore which sucked majorly. They told me to fill out a claim form online instead to see if they'd reimburse my voucher to get the £10 on it. So I did.

And I've only just heard back from them now and apparently, due to some legal reason plus the number of claims they got, they're saying that for a £10 voucher they're only paying out 7p!

That's ridiculous!!

Though some Peacocks stores have been saved, does that mean the voucher is not void anymore?

Going Gaga...

I am not a huge fan of shopping. I'd even go as far to say that I hate it. Well, seriously dislike it at least. I don't know why as stereotypically, being a woman means that I should love it.

But alas this is not the case. I don't like spending money as I get terribly guilty when I do. I don't know why but if it saves me from becoming bankrupt someday then it will be worth it.

Until lately when I discovered something when passing the time in TK Maxx...

I simply adore shopping for the home! I went absolutely gaga over ornaments, candles, mirrors, pillows, kitchen utensils and lights! It was insane. In the end though I bought one thing which I have been after for a while. It's perfect and can't wait til the spring/summer to use it.

A beautiful picnic basket at £13.00 which was an absolute steal...

Thanks to TK Maxx I seriously can't wait to move out so that I can decorate my own home!

Market Goodies!

So seeing as this year was the first year that I could take my time and properly explore the Continental Christmas Market, I bought myself some goodies!

For anyone who knows me, I frigging adore dragons. And because of that love, I've always wanted some sort of dragon statue that I could display in my bookcase for ever more. Thanks to the Market, I found one...

It's hand carved!

I've also been wanting a funky hat for ages too and I got one!

And finally, Paul treated me to an early Christmas present! This hat is so frigging comfy and warm - I love it!

All in all, a great day!

Shop til I drop? No thanks...

There's one thing that sets me apart from normal teenage girls.... Actually, there's probably quite a few things but we won't get into them right now. No, what I'm talking about is that I don't really enjoy shopping. Don't get me wrong, I like window shopping. I'm a damn good window shopper. My problem is when it comes to spending money. For some reason, I feel incredibly guilty about doing it and I have no idea why. Maybe it's because I don't have a huge income?

What's strange is that it only affects me when shopping for clothes. I have no problem buying books upon books but when it comes to clothes I'm like, "nah I'll leave it". I also have this weird notion that I'm not "cool" enough to shop in certain stores. For example, I feel fine browsing through the likes of Primark and Peacocks but when it comes to the likes of Miss Selfridge I can't wait to leave. I've never even stepped foot in a River Island.

However I have no problem spending money on the people I love. I will happily splash the cash buying them things that I know they will love and cherish and that makes me feel incredibly happy. So why do I feel guilty spending money on myself? Will I grow out of this? I hope so. I really want to enjoy a good shopping spree someday...

Love, Hazel
