Anybody still there?

Hey guys,

I've been an awful blogger lately I know, but blame the amount of uni work I've got and not me okay? I've been concentrating on that more than blogging this month but hopefully, if you can be patient, I'll have stuff to blog about it in the next few days or so. Then it'll be April and my A to Z posts will be published for you all to enjoy!

Thanks for sticking around...

Back to Basics

Ususally I write about a certain topic but today I'm going to update you on what's been going on in my life as of late. You know, get back to the basics of blogging so to speak. I don't know why, but writing has become very difficult for me lately. I just find everything I write to be meh. So much so that this is my third attempt at writing this post.

As most of you'll know, I have Imflammation of the Colon and underwent treatment in the form of steriods. Well, I've been off those steriods for a few weeks now and I miss them terribly. Simply because my appetite has gone again. Sigh. I also had a hospital appointment to discuss my condition and apparently, the doctor is 95% sure that I have Chrones Disease. Lovely eh? To be 100% sure though I've got to go for an x-ray in a few weeks time.

Now because I don't want to end this post on a downer, I just found out this morning that apart from an exam on Tuesday, I don't have to go back to university until the 30th January! How frigging awesome is that?!

A Puddle Almost Killed Me...

My final day of university before the Christmas holidays was not plain sailing.

The night before saw torrential rainfall which resulted in various parts of my city being flooded. There was snow too but not much to cause disruption. I was unprepared for the flooding as I was too preoccupied worrying about icy roads, much to my misfortune.

I had literally only been driving five minutes before I nearly crashed my car. In an unlit area, shielded by trees, was a huge mother fucking puddle. Now, anybody who drives or who has common sense knows that you gotta drive slowly through deep puddles. Unfortunately I did not see this puddle until it was too late. I hit it at full speed causing a huge typhoon of water to cover my windscreen. I could not see a fucking thing. I was literally driving blind, trying to keep my car under control and as far away from the oncoming lights in the other lane as possible.

My wipers were of no use, despite them going full speed. The only way I can describe it is to imagine what it would be like driving through a car wash. When all the water finally drained away, I was an inch away from the other lane. I'm thankful it happened where it did because I know that road so well. If it had happened in the main city, I'd have been fucked.

Annoyingly, my lecture was postponed for an hour and when it did eventually start, it rambled on and on and he couldn't even answer the questions we had about our January exam. So I risked my life for a mediocre lecture. How typical.

Student Life: Personality Testing

In the 1930's, people's personalities were tested by Thematic Apperception Tests, or TAT's for short. Basically psychologists gave their patients a simple image and asked them to describe what was going on in that image. Their answers were supposed to reveal deep or hidden insights into their personalities.

In a seminar we were showed a few examples including this one:

Here is my interpretation:

The young man is distraught at returning home to discover his lover having comitted suicide. Yet, because she wanted to lessen the blow for him, she pulled the blanket down in order to give him one last look at her perky tits.

I wonder what this says about me?

Student Life: Study Fail

I'm seriously wondering how I coped at high school. I had nine subjects. I didn't finish til 4pm for 5 days a week. Every other night I was doing homework and I also had coursework and revision on top of that!

HOW DID I NOT DIE?

Well to be fair, I did get an awful lot of migraines....

But the point I'm trying to make is that after four years of doing courses were I didn't have to study, I'm now a bit rusty.

I only have 3 subjects this semester, two days off a week and I finish the other three days at 1pm yet I'm struggling to find the motivation to read the assigned textbook chapters or even make decent notes.

I'm so outta practice!
